The Monahans Sandhills State Park is home to 3,840 acres (1554 ha) of sand dunes. There is an interpretive center, shaded picnic areas and sand tobogganing, horseback riding and other activites to do at the park. Camping sites are available. Pets are allowed, but must be kept on a leash and cannot go in any buildings.
