The Monahans Sandhills State Park has five sites with water only and 19 sites with water and electricty to offer its campers. Pets are allowed but must be kept on a leash and cannot go in any buildings. The park is home to 3,840 acres (1,554 ha) of sand dunes. The park has an interpretive center, shaded picnic areas, sand tobogganing, horseback riding and other activites.
