The Chinati Foundation is an art museum specializing in permanent and temporary contemporary pieces. It sits on 340 acres (138 ha) of land with many of the displays being outdoors, so visitors should bring comfortable shoes, a hat and sunscreen. The foundation can only be seen through guided tours, which are available Wednesday to Sunday at 10am and 2pm.
