Lake Balmorhea is located 7 mi (11 km) from Balmorhea State Park. Fishing is permitted for the lake's largemouth bass, catfish and sunfish. Live bait and a boat launch are available. Picnic areas and restrooms can be found on site as well as some camping spots.
